With over 20 years of experience, working across fashion, music and art, his mission statement, ‘Culture without Compromise’ is a phrase that encapsulates his creative approach. Elliott is a founder member of Black Orientated Legacy Development Agency (BOLD), their latest exhibition, The Missing Thread, opened recently at Somerset House in London – to rave reviews and critical acclaim.

If your wardrobe could speak, what would it say about you?
It would say that I love to merge the influence of Japanese details and silhouettes with my everyday style expressions.
Why are form, fit and fabrication crucial for our enjoyment of clothing?
How a garment feels against the skin, or what sensation we feel when we touch it, is rarely ever referenced when people talk about style. This sensory experience is an intimate relationship with the fabric that allows us to feel empowered or relaxed, defiant or at ease.
If you could meet one of your style heroes - who would it be?
Without a doubt, it would have to be Grace Jones. Inimitable, elegant, outrageous, sophisticated and proudly Jamaican (all at the same time). Grace has had a profound influence on me and been a strong inspiration spirit that I refer to time and time again.
If you could pick one season to dress for, what would it be?
Perennially my season of choice is autumn. The ability to combine different layers and textures is stylistically, always a welcome relief from the single layers of summer.
