Studio Nicholson was founded in 2010 by Nick Wakeman, a natural disrupter known for pushing the parameters of textile possibilities, an attitude that permeates through the entire global team. Extensive textile experience is utilised in garments that are cut with precision into silhouettes that feel palatably classic but always with a distinct interpretation. Esoteric sub-cultures as reference are the foundations of each collection, influences that are embedded into the company, informing how we communicate.
Speaking about her disregard for the status quo, Wakeman explains, “For me, there’s no question – it’s always fabric first.” We documented the home of the Studio Nicholson brand in London; our studio and Soho flagship store, to capture elements of this culture and shared philosophy that drives the brand forward.
